ÖZET
Neurogenic pulmonary edema (NPE) is a clinical condition that occurs after any disease affecting the central nervous system. It is rarely seen in childhood. Here, we report, an 12 years-old male patient, who was developed the NPE after gunshot injury because children who developed NPE after gunshot injury in the literature are very few. NPE is a clinical diagnosis. Pediatricians, who encounter with the head trauma, should come into mind the NPE that these patients are developed unexplained respiratuar distress, tachypnea, hy-poxia after penetran or blunt head trauma.
