ABSTRACT
Scrotal calcinosis is a rare condition characterized by multiple calcified small nodules within scro-tal skin. While many authors have considered this calcium deposition to be idiopathic, others have accepted as dystrophic calcification of epidermal cysts. When the Medline was checked; we see that, only two cases of idiopathic scrotal calcinosis were documented which had clinical signs of large polypoid lesions within scrotal skin. In addition, in contrast with previous reports, the histopathological evaluation of the lesions in our case does not support “dystrophic calcification of epidermal cysts” hypothesis, as the absence of cystic epithelial lining surrounding calcified de-posits and the presence of little cellular reaction were observed.
