Epstein Barr Virus Infection Presenting with Portal Lymphadenopathy and Cholestatic Hepatitis

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a B lymphotropic human herpes virus and have a widespread distribution in the world. It causes infectious mononucleosis (EM) which is known as the kissing disease because of transmission through saliva. EBV is a rare cause of acute hepatitis, cholestatic hepatitis in the course of the EBV infection is much more rare. In this paper, we report a case with cholestatic hepatitis and portal lymphadenopathy due to EBV infection.
