The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) contributes to the issue of registration of illnesses as accurate as possible in the determination of illness identification or death cause through the international rules and remarks that are brought to the disease and death coding. In the 21st century when we confronted with a digital revolution, many service sectors and industrial activities became digital and there has been an intense demand for digitalization of health data too. Accurate and up-to-date codification of diseases diagnosis presents at the beginning of the adaptation of health data to the methods to be used in artificial intelligence studies. Therefore, for the digitalization of health information systems, ICD-11 should also perform the functions of ICD-9 and ICD-10 digitally. For this reason, in ICD-11, it is planned that the meaning of the category will have important explanations and guidance about the readable terms in order to guide users of the disease unit. ICD-11 it is seen that has a more sophisticated structure than the previous ICD versions as a digital resource.
